In addition to being a certified Yoga Teacher, he maintains a constant daily mindfulness practice that started from the young age of 11. Every morning starts with the same routine: a cold shower and then 2.5 hours of meditation.

Favourite actives include snowshoeing, hiking, travel, and cooking (often for community kitchens).

Clinical Areas of Focus

Dr. H. Singh, ND is experienced in treating a variety of conditions but maintains a strong clinical focus on infertility and reproductive care. Naturopathic therapies have been shown to be beneficial for a large range of conditions that cause fertility, hormone imbalance, and sperm health/quality. Some of the conditions that Dr. H. Singh, Naturopathic Doctor treats include (but are not limited to):

  1. Unexplained Infertility: helping patients to uncover subtle causes of infertility and addressing all factors known to impact chances of conceiving based on recent clinical research. In many cases more advanced testing may be done, or reviewing already completed blood work with a much closer lens. In some cases of unexplained infertility the inability to conceive is the result of many small variables instead of one large and obvious disorder.

  2. Thyroid Disease: looking at more advanced testing to uncover detailed information about thyroid function and health can help to determine underlying factors which are commonly known to impact fertility outcomes. Whether it is hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, or autoimmune thyroid conditions the treatment will address these disorders to help support positive outcomes with your fertility treatment and journey

  3. Endometriosis: helping Women affected with this chronic condition to reduce pain, support menstrual regularity, and supporting fertility outcomes. Naturopathic interventions can help support hormone balance, reduce inflammation, and reduce oxidative stress (which can be harmful for egg health/quality).

  4. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS): Treatments focus on helping patients resume regular menstruation, healthy menstruation, regular ovulation and supporting implantation. Key strategies for positive outcomes include reducing inflammation, promoting hormone balance, improving insulin sensitivity, reducing or preventing excess weight gain, and supporting mental health by reducing feelings of anxiety and/or depression.

  5. Low Ovarian Reserve: treating low egg reserve and low egg quality are important factors when going for a conventional fertility treatment, such as, IVF, IUI, and ICSI. The better the integrity of the follicles, even if few are retrieved, can help to improve the chances of a healthy pregnancy and baby.

  6. Poor Sperm Quality: Dr. H. Singh, ND focuses on providing treatments for patients that have been diagnosed with low sperm concentration, low sperm motility, and low normal sperm morphology. Improving these sperm health parameters can help improve positive outcomes when going for fertility treatments. Additional treatment can help address elevated sperm DNA fragmentation rates as well (a critical sperm health parameter for Fertility).

  7. Elevated Stress and Mood Disorders: The fertility journey is accompanied with severe emotional distress, anxiety, feelings of depression or despair in some cases and addressing these emotions and seeking natural treatment options can beneficial not only to help you feel better and improve quality of life, but because elevated stress may negatively impact fertility treatment outcomes as well (based on early and limited research).

  8. Much More: there are many more factors and conditions that impact fertility, and these are closely evaluated when a patient is seen for a Fertility Consultation
